5. Khoo Family
The Khoo family are the heirs of the late banker Khoo Puat Tack, who invested in Standard Chartered Bank in 1986. The biggest part of their wealth comes from the sale of their stake in the Standard Chartered Bank in 2006 which was worth $4 billion.
They are also the owners of Goodwood Hotels of Singapore. Their net-worth is $6.3 billion.
